Full-Time General Manager ($21-$22/hr)- Storage/Retail MA25

The General Manager is a team player who is energetic and professional but doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty to keep the property well maintained and secure. General Responsibilities and Duties: Provides great customer interactions both in-person and over the phone. This is key to your success! We want someone who loves to interact with our tenants to help meet their needs. Be Creative! You are responsible for generating sales, keeping the facility rented at optimum levels effectively utilizing advertising, promotional, and customer relation skills as approved by management Managing day-to-day operations including collections, daily deposits, making calls to people falling behind in payments, returning calls to customers. Creatively show and rent units by offering the best storage solutions to prospective tenants; You do this by getting to know the tenant and finding out their needs and how they intend to use the space. Actively sell and maintain supplies of merchandise. Upsell insurance, rent/schedule moving trucks and equipment, and cross-sell other company-owned/operated facilities; Our products are of high durable quality, and we want you to educate customers about the difference between getting materials at a dollar store that won’t hold up. Assist in preparing units for auction. This is a sensitive topic. We are looking for compassion when communicating to tenants facing auction sales. Maintain “curb appeal”. First impressions are everything! We pride ourselves on providing a clean, safe and secure facility. You will be responsible for handling property maintenance issues, providing minor maintenance and daily lock checks. Other duties as assigned. Workweek: 38-40 hours a week, 4 weekdays, + Saturdays. -TBD Job Requirements: 2-year degree with 1-3 years of retail/sales experience; with 4+ years of retail/sales/property management experience Excellent communication skills both on the phone and in-person Works well in a team setting or independently. Knowledge of computers is a must (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.) with a general understanding of automatic gate systems. Valid driver's license and insurance with access to reliable transportation Openwork availability possibly including weekends and some holidays; Stores are typically closed on Sundays.
