Audit and Tax Senior Accountant

Katopody LLC has a full-time audit and tax senior position available in our Grapevine, Texas office. We are a Certified Public Accounting firm specializing in audit, tax, and consulting within the real estate industry, specifically multi-family affordable housing and the low-income housing tax credit program.We contribute to all our employees' 401k accounts and provide a flexible PTO and work schedule policy.Key Responsibilities:Complete tax and/or audit engagements for assigned clients with minimal oversightPerform detailed reviews of engagement work to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standardsComplete the audit planning, fieldwork, and job wrap-up of each entity assignedIdentify potential issues within engagements and develop practical, well-reasoned solutionsConduct industry-specific research, analyze data, and prepare reports with clear findings and recommendationsPrepare and maintain organized workpapers and supporting documentationContribute to the preparation of client deliverables and communicationsBuild and maintain strong, professional client relationships through responsiveness and quality serviceContinue developing technical knowledge through training and professional development opportunitiesManage workload efficiently to meet deadlines and contribute to overall engagement successPerform additional duties and special projects as assignedRequired Skills and CompetenciesStrong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulationsAnalytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentReceptive to feedback and able to implement improvements as neededCollaborative approach with the ability to work effectively in team settingsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and report-writing toolsProfessional demeanor in all interactions with clients and colleaguesAbility to meet internal deadlines and manage workload expectationsWillingness to work additional hours during peak seasonYour Background & SkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)2–5 years of relevant experience in public accounting or a related fieldActive CPA LicenseExperience in areas such as affordable housing, tax credits, real estate, nonprofit accounting, or compliance is beneficial but not requiredBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceEducation:Bachelor's (Required)Experience:Financial auditing: 2 years (Required)License/Certification:CPA license (Required)Work Location: In person
