Truck Driver Job Description Job Overview: Join our team as a Truck Driver and play a vital role in our transportation operations by ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods. As a Truck Driver, you will be tasked with transporting various types of cargo east of I 35 mostly. This position involves no touch freight, long hauls, and no forced dispatch into NYC or its 5 boroughs. Will get home every other weekend for 2 full days. Responsibilities: - Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to specified destinations. - Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and functionality. - Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while complying with traffic regulations and safety standards. - Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate delivery schedules. - Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any transportation incidents. - Adhere strictly to company transportation policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements. Qualifications: - Must hold a valid CDL Class A license. - Proven experience (at least 3 months) in commercial driving and delivery operations - Proficiency in regional lane driving, route planning, and navigating diverse terrains. - Strong attention to detail in following safety protocols to uphold accident-free operations.
