ODGA - Procurement Specialist

Procurement Support SpecialistProviding support services to various ODGA executive branch agency partners in procurement of goods and services. Managing relationships and transactions related to purchases and receivables within ODGA. Maintaining records for all vendors, key suppliers, and purchasing agreements between ODGA and other agencies or organizations. Assisting with the procurement process, including contract management, negotiation, and preparation of purchase orders. Ensuring commitments to customers are met. Interpreting and applying state procurement regulations, policies, and procedures. Using knowledge of state government procurement policies for purchasing goods and services. Aiding in maintaining policy and adhering to code of Virginia standards for the ODGA. Planning, organizing, and prioritizing a variety of procurement processes. Communicating effectively both orally and in writing. Using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), other databases, and a state or federal electronic procurement system. Organizing and maintaining contract files and records. Working independently and managing own time and work. Demonstrating experience as a Finance Analyst or similar role. Showing considerable understanding of Account Payables and Account Receivables processes. Displaying good knowledge of purchasing strategies. Exhibiting excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, and strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Having a good knowledge of purchasing strategies, purchasing and invoicing systems, and understanding of reviewing contracts and MOUs is desired.
