We are looking for a team player that has the entrepreneurial spirit and enjoys working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Through insightful and data-driven analysis, you will partner and collaborate with cross-functional team members to drive supply chain optimization initiatives that will continue our flywheel. This role is both strategic and detailed in nature and requires a finance professional who has a passion for developing complex financial models to support sound decision-making as well as enjoys rolling up their sleeves to learn the day-day aspects of the business. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic and multicultural environment; will be a creative and analytical problem solver.Key job responsibilities Key job responsibilities- Build, run, and maintain complex financial models to maintain AWS infrastructure commodity planning, derive key financial insights, and communicate results to AWS FP&A and senior management. - Conduct supply chain monthly, quarterly, and yearly variance analysis and communicate results to AWS FP&A and senior management. - Develop ad hoc business analyses and present recommendations to AWS senior management. - Collaborate with business partners and co-lead on supply chain optimization projects by influencing through data-driven analysis, reporting and metrics. - Serve as a key finance partner working with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights and cost savings opportunities. - Ensure compliance with controls and systems, and develop new processes to support the fast-growing, global AWS business. - Partner with Accounting, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure compliance with controls and systems, and develop new processes to support the fast-growing, global AWS business. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - MBA, or CPA - Knowledge of Tableau - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience - 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience - Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligenceAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
