System Engineer
Title: Senior System Engineer/ Avionics EngineerDuration: 12 MonthsLocation: Everett, WA; Renton, WA Description:Job Description: Regular and predictable attendance is required Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role. Position Responsibilities• As a senior Avionics Systems Engineer, the selected candidate will rapidly integrate into the team and apply an interdisciplinary approach to the analysis, design, development, system level test/verification and validation of the Military Aircraft Flight Management System (FMS) and other Avionics Systems. In addition, the candidate will apply job principles, theories, and concepts to develop new capability for the Military Aircraft.• The primary subject matter for this role will be the Flight Management System, which is responsible for Flight Planning/navigation, guidance, control, display, and automation of aircraft. A successful candidate in this position requires having an excellent technical and communication skills while being aware of the business constraints. Required Skills• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, aerodynamics, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science• 10+ years of full-time aerospace experience in aircraft, avionics, flight controls, propulsion/engine controls and/or other aircraft electronics• Experience with Agile and Continuous Delivery Method (CDM) processes• Experience leading systems/software development programs Preferred Skills• Have one of the following: Military/Commercial Aircrew experience, Private Pilot License, or Flight Instructor certificationCapable of leading geographically diverse teams to perform activities that support Military Aircraft upgrades, improvements and sustainment
