Job Description Schedule: Monday - Friday 6AM - 4PM / Occasional Saturday 6AM - 2PMWhat we do:SMS group is an industrial equipment manufacturer for the steel industry. We design, build, and service equipment and plants across the globe with a strong technical services/machine shop network in North America.The right candidate will:Set up and operate both CNC and manual machinery for use in metal working applications.Operate and know the functions of Fanuc/Mazatrol controllers, load and run CNC programs.Read and interpret G and M code programs. Blueprint reading and interpretation Calculate tolerances from drawings and convert to/from metric/standard.Use and read precise measuring tools.Perform daily maintenance check of machine.Perform other duties as assigned.What you'll need:High school diploma or GED2-3 Years of CNC experience Ability to read blueprintsAbility to use precision measurement toolsAbility to read and interpret G & M-Code.Physical Abilities:Stoop, kneel and bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.Lift and move up to 40 poundsRemain in a standing or walking position for extended periods on a daily basis.What we offer:Health/Dental/Vision Packages to fit your needs – Effective after 30 DaysLife insurance coverage equal to 1.5 x annual compensation at no cost to employee10 paid holidaysPro-Rated Vacation after 30 Days & Paid Holiday Time after 30 DaysConsistent day shift schedule.
