Residential Manager
Residential Manager Qualifications:
1. Associates degree from an accredited institution preferred but not required.
2. Two (2) years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
3. At least one (1) year of management experience.
4. Ability to meet all personnel and training requirements.
5. Strong written and Verbal communication skills.
6. Must possess organizational skills, integrity, have a positive attitude, self direction, as well as being teachable.
Residential Manager Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the daily operations of Affinity Care Group’s waiver services.
2. Encourage and demonstrate creativity in improving Individual’s quality of life by increased self-direction and community involvement.
3. Ensure the provision of quality services to the individuals Affinity Care Group supports through monitoring of documentation, visits with individuals, monitoring of the homes, and communication with staff.
4. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Maintain current knowledge of Indiana Community Integration and Habilitation and Family Support Waiver Program.
5. Responsible for submitting a weekly rollup report to the Program Manager. Weekly meeting to discuss what has happened/will be happening that week regarding the individuals Affinity Care Group supports as well as the staff.
6. Screen referrals for services and coordinate transitions into services for accepted individuals.
7. Communicate with parents, guardians, advocates, and professionals regarding an individual's needs, progress, and concerns.
8. Ensure residential staff are appropriately documenting attendance, goals, and narratives for each individual receiving services and maintain the residential schedules for the staff.
9. Conduct monthly site visits at Structured Family Caregiving provider’s home and fill out Monthly Site Checklist.
10. Conduct weekly residence checks including both random and scheduled visits.
11. Ensure compliance by maintaining the Monthly Site Checklist.
12. Ensure appropriate medical care is being provided including arranging for annual physical examinations, routine medical & dental care, and appointments with psychological/psychiatric service providers for residential individuals at the discretion and guidance of Program Manager for all residential individuals.
13. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Maintain current knowledge of the Waiver Program.
14. Responsible for scheduling and entering appointments, meetings, meet and greets, etc. into a Google Calendar.
15. Ensure appropriate medical care is being provided to service participants. Community based managers ensure communication with pharmacies in which individual medication is prescribed.
16. Ensure medications are administered per physician orders and documented appropriately through routine review of MARs. Review medication administration records for all individuals frequently to identify any errors or omissions.
17. Maintain an on-call 24/7 schedule for residential emergencies to ensure appropriate and accurate completion of critical incident report(s).
18. Responsible for binder audits and ensuring all documentation is up-to-date per the waiver Record Review Checklist.
19. Ensures quarterly drills are implemented per Affinity Care Group’s policies and DDRS regulations.
20. Managing Electronic Visit Verification system.
21. Must be able to participate in a weekly on-call rotation for call in's and any scheduling conflicts.
