Opening If you believe music is not a performance—but a language children use to think, express, and connect—we invite you to apply.This is not a performance-based music role—it is relational, reflective, and rooted in children's thinking.We are seeking a full-time Music Teacher & Assistant Teacher to weave music into the daily life of the classroom while supporting children and teachers across the school.This is a fully integrated role —both offering music experiences and supporting classroom life with children infants through 5 years of age .Role Overview Facilitate open-ended music experiences (voice, rhythm, movement, instruments)Support classroom routines, caregiving, and transitionsCollaborate with teachers and contribute to the pedagogy teamObserve and respond to children's interestsQualifications Background in early childhood, music, or related fieldExperience with young children (infants/toddlers preferred)Open to or experienced in Reggio EmiliaMust meet Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families requirements (background check, MERIT, STARS)Able to work respectfully in both non-sectarian and Christian school environmentsSchedule & Physical Requirements Full-time, 35 hours - 40 hours/week (Mon–Fri, between 7:30am–5:45pm)Active role: must be able to work with young children (infants–5 years), including kneeling, squatting, lifting, and floor-based engagementApply Please submit your resume and a short reflection:How do children experience music as a language?"The child has a hundred languages..." — Loris Malaguzzi
