Job Summary: Work within the Human Resource department as an internal staffing resource to fill early career open positions. Manages the presentation, selection, offer, negotiation and administrative components involved in campus recruiting. Create an external network to effectively recruit at colleges and universities utilizing self-initiated referrals as well as mining an internal database and raw recruiting efforts.
Principal Responsibilities
Create and foster relationships with colleges to attract and recruit interns and alumni.
Manage the college summer internship program.
Plan and execute campus recruiting events including and college job fairs, information sessions, on-campus interviews, etc..
Guide early-career candidates through the recruitment process from initial outreach, screening calls, and offer to ensure a positive candidate experience.
Responsible for the selection of interns and handling the day-to-day management of the internship program for evaluations, intern activities and acting as the first point of contact for interns and managers.
Maintain recruiting processes ensuring early-career recruiting follows local and federal regulations
Develop an effective pipeline of early career talent potentially available for immediate hire (as succession needs dictate).
Attend industry networking functions at colleges and universities to develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified talent.
Manage the high school internship program.
Expand both the college and high school internship programs.
Implement strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates and support Conner Strong & Buckelew’s diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility goals.
Stay informed about trends in campus recruitment and higher education to ensure Conner Strong & Buckelew practices are current and competitive
Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for early-career candidates, position description database, background check portal and job postings to both internal and third-party (Handshake).
Act as a representative of the Conner Strong & Buckelew brand both internally and externally at colleges and universities.
Work cooperatively with all the members of the talent acquisition team to develop and implement staffing plans and activities while supporting the efforts of the human resources department.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with HR team, colleges and universities, community organizations and other team members
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Recent college graduate preferred
Degree in Human Resources or RMI preferred but not required
Strong communication skills
High degree of integrity, confidentiality and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage competing demands and be adaptable and flexible.
Strong initiative and sold judgement skills.
Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without Company sponsorship.
Specialized Knowledge or Licenses
Experience working in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint
Experience working with confidential information
Ability to travel as required
