System Support Engineer (IFE/)

System Support Engineer – Level 2 (IFE / Aerospace) Irvine, California (Onsite) Experience: 5–7 Years About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated System Support Engineer – Level 2 to support advanced In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems. This role involves complex field issue investigations, root cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration across Systems, Software, and Hardware teams. This is a hands-on engineering investigation role supporting airline-reported and field system issues. Key Responsibilities Conduct timely engineering investigations on complex customer/field system issues. Identify root causes and propose solutions to development engineering teams. Provide regular updates to management and engineering stakeholders. Analyze system logs, software logs, and BITE data. Develop data parsers and automation scripts to reproduce rare issues in engineering labs. Utilize engineering labs to replicate field issues and determine root cause. Collaborate with Software, Hardware, Systems Engineering, and third-party suppliers. Participate in Field Issue Review Boards. Remotely connect to aircraft to investigate live issues (AOG support). Document investigation plans, progress, and conclusions in issue tracking systems. Support airline or MRO visits as required. Required Qualifications 5–7 years of experience in Aerospace / Avionics / IFE systems. Strong root cause analysis skills across Systems, Software, and Hardware. Experience analyzing logs and troubleshooting complex system-level issues. Experience working in lab environments to reproduce field issues. Strong documentation and communication skills. Willingness to work onsite in Irvine, CA. Preferred Background Experience with aerospace engineering services companies. Prior experience supporting airline or aircraft systems. Experience with automation scripting (Python, Shell, etc.) is a plus.
