Additional benefits include:Employee appreciation lunches and eventsOpportunities for development and job advancementRole Overview:The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the maintenance team, prioritizing safety and efficiency within the facility. This role involves overseeing equipment maintenance, plumbing, electrical systems, building maintenance, and grounds upkeep.Key Responsibilities:Ensure workplace safety and compliance with company policies.Assign tasks and follow up on maintenance work.Continuously seek process improvements to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency.Develop and mentor maintenance personnel.Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs.Participate in safety meetings and emergency response protocols.Provide training and development for maintenance staff.Support the Chief Engineer as needed.Schedule maintenance department employees.Collaborate in maintenance shift meetings.Identify opportunities for cost savings and plant safety enhancements.Monitor and manage maintenance expenditures.Participate in the EMS program with assigned duties.Requirements:2-5 years of leadership experience, preferably in a union environment.3-5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing.Strong understanding of maintenance principles and procedures.Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.Experience with preventive maintenance programs.Excellent communication skills.DisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level or work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
