Patient Account Representative

Job Title: Patient Account RepresentativeLocation: Saint Paul, MN (Remote after initial onsite onboarding)Start Date: 07/07/2025Contract Duration: Through end of 2025Work Schedule: Flexible hours between 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday (40 hours/week)Job Overview:We are seeking Patient Account Representatives to support back-end revenue recovery by ensuring timely and accurate processing of patient accounts with third-party payors and patients/guarantors. The position focuses on claims processing, account follow-up, and delivering excellent customer service.Key Responsibilities:Serve as the final point of contact to promote a professional and positive patient experience.Process claims by resolving front-end claim edits for clean and timely submission to third-party payors.Perform account follow-up to address outstanding balances, resolve technical denials, and expedite timely payment processing.Support revenue cycle functions as assigned by the Revenue Cycle Practice Manager and contribute to departmental goals. Required Skills & Experience:Minimum 2 years of medical billing or coding experience with exposure to payors.Solid understanding of medical terminology.Familiarity with commercial insurance carriers and standard insurance forms.Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and ability to work independently.Effective problem-solving skills in a collaborative team environment.Ability to multitask and quickly adapt to changing priorities. Education:High School Diploma or GED required. Additional Details:Onsite Requirement: Must be available to work onsite for the initial few days to pick up equipment and meet the team.Work Location: Primarily remote after initial onsite setup.
