Brooksource is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our Fortune 1000 Financial Services client's expanding engineering team in a hybrid capacity based in St. Louis, MO. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about modern development practices, high-quality code, and building scalable applications in a cloud-first environment.This team is focused on modernizing its technology stack and delivery model, with a strong emphasis on quality engineering, automated testing, and enabling autonomous releases. The ideal candidate is quality-minded, embraces testing as a core responsibility, and thrives in a Lean development environment centered around continuous improvement and end-to-end ownership.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using modern technologiesBuild responsive front-end interfaces using React and/or AngularDevelop scalable back-end services using Java and contribute to Python-based solutions as neededContribute to and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support automated, daytime production releasesChampion a “test-first” mindset, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testingSupport the team’s objective of achieving autonomous releases with minimal manual interventionCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, high-quality solutionsParticipate in architectural discussions and contribute to modernization initiativesRequired Skills:3–8 years of full stack development experienceStrong proficiency in Java (backend) and React and/or Angular (frontend)Willingness to work with Python in a multi-language environmentHands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesStrong understanding of testing strategies and frameworks (unit, integration, E2E)Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile/Lean development environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience contributing to automated release pipelines and reducing manual QA dependenciesFamiliarity with E2E or similar testing strategies focused on quality at scaleExposure to AI tools or techniques to enhance development productivity (please be prepared to share examples)Experience in financial services or other regulated industriesAdditional Details:Location: St. Louis, MO (hybrid); potential flexibility for Atlanta, GA (hybrid)Contract Duration: 6–9 months with potential for extension HOW TO APPLYInterested candidates can apply directly through this posting with a single click.
