Danone North America is looking for Maintenance Mechanics in Minster, Ohio.Our mechanics work on state of the art equipment in a climate-controlled facility. We also offer the opportunity to learn and grow your income as you earn your State Certified Journeyman Mechanic. If you have experience with Multi-craft industrial machinery repair (electrical, robotic) or are a professional automotive mechanic or HVAC technician, we would love to discuss our opportunities with you.The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for all emergency and unplanned breakdowns associated with packaging lines. The base rate is $37.72/hr plus $1.00/hr shift premium with the opportunity to grow to a State Certified Journeyman Mechanic at $42.35/hr plus a $1.00/hr shift premium! Additionally, Danone's great benefits include low cost medical, dental, vision and life insurances as well as some not-so-standard benefits like 18 weeks paid Parental Bonding Leave, annual Pay for Performance bonus, paid breaks and lunch time, annual tool allowance of $500, tuition reimbursement, wellness program and gym membership reimbursement, retiree health care, free uniforms and safety shoes.Specific Job Duties & TasksConsistently communicate service actions and equipment issues with operators, maintenance, and all corresponding departments (e.g., scheduling, processing, packaging, distribution)Follow safety protocols and utilization documents (e.g., safety manuals, manufacturer instructions, diagrams, etc.)Perform CILT (i.e., clean, inspect, lubricate, tighten) quality checks on production lines to ensure machinery is properly functioningPrevent safety hazards and service requests via proper supervision, observation, and quality checksAsk questions regarding equipment failure in order to properly diagnose issues Monitor several production lines or utilities systems (if working in utilities) simultaneouslyEvaluate, test and maintain electrical wiringTroubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipmentEfficiently assemble/disassemble machinery when necessaryInstall specialized equipment, devices, or parts for repairsReceive daily reports to verify the status of production linesReceive work orders via computer systems or phoneDocument resolutions to equipment failure for future referenceRemove defective machinery/equipment with industrial trucks (e.g., forklifts, etc.)Annually attend in-house trainings (e.g., forklift, automation, welding, ladder, lock-out/tag-out, and safety)Cleaning and sanitation tasks (e.g., part lubrication and cleaning, general housekeeping)Work 12-hour night shifts, 548pm - 600am on a 3-2-2 scheduleOther duties as assignedAbout youEducationMinimum Requirement High school diplomaor G.E.D.
