Carpenter

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to work ocassionally for our company as a sub contractor. This person will not be an employee but will rather have their own insurance and tools. We need people like yourself to call on for certain projects which come up. Responsibilities - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications - Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed - Install structures and fixtures such as windows, molding, cabinets, doors, flooring and hardware - do demo work as needed - Construct walls, floors, and doorframes etc. - Most work typically involves Kitchens and bathroom installs (cabinetry, flooring, tile, molding, beams etc.) - Being a lead level finish carpenter is a necessity. Requirements - Proven experience as a Carpenter in the construction industry - Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment - Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings - Knowledge of various carpentry techniques including framing, trim carpentry, tile , and caulking etc. - Have own, truck and tools - Being of sound physical health capable of lifting heavy materials - Other : general tasks.
