In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various trucks and heavy-duty vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and goods efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in commercial driving, vehicle operation, and load handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate a variety of trucks including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers to transport goods and materials. Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques or specialized equipment, ensuring secure placement for transit. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with federal and state regulations. Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities. Assist with the maintenance of trucks by performing basic mechanical checks and reporting any repairs needed. Collaborate with dispatchers and warehouse staff to coordinate delivery schedules and routes efficiently. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs. Experience operating various types of trucks including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers. Ability to load & unload cargo safely using manual lifting techniques or specialized equipment. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, adherence to traffic laws, and defensive driving techniques. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of driving or loading/unloading activities. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and heavy-duty truck operation.
