PREREQUISITES: Bachelor's degree in communicative science and disorders Texas license as Speech-Language Pathology Assistant granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR) Knowledge of speech-language disorders and conditions Ability to instruct and manage student behavior Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) Fifty hours of clinical observation and assisting experience as required for licensure
