This position focuses on helping clients work toward their individualized goals, connect with resources, improve daily living skills, manage symptoms, and maintain stability.QMHP-T candidates are welcome and will receive supervision, training, and support in accordance with Virginia requirements.QMHP / QMHP-T DescriptionA QMHP, or Qualified Mental Health Professional, is a behavioral health professional who meets Virginia requirements to provide mental health support services to individuals with behavioral health needs.A QMHP-T, or Qualified Mental Health Professional-Trainee, is an individual working toward full QMHP status while receiving supervision, training, and experience in the behavioral health field.QMHP and QMHP-T staff play an important role in helping adult clients strengthen coping skills, access community resources, follow treatment recommendations, build independence, and improve daily functioning.Job DutiesResponsibilities may include:Provide community-based behavioral health support to adult clients.Assist clients with developing coping skills, communication skills, emotional regulation, problem-solving skills, and independent living skills.Support clients with connecting to community resources, medical providers, housing resources, employment supports, benefits, and other needed services.Help clients follow individualized service plans and work toward treatment goals.Monitor client progress and report concerns to supervisors or licensed clinical staff.Provide crisis support, de-escalation, and linkage to emergency services when needed.Educate clients on mental health symptoms, wellness strategies, appointment compliance, medication compliance, and healthy routines.Complete progress notes, service documentation, assessments, safety plans, and other required paperwork in a timely and professional manner.Coordinate care with therapists, physicians, hospitals, probation officers, social services, housing providers, and other community partners as appropriate.Participate in supervision, team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement activities.Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, company policies, Medicaid standards, and Virginia behavioral health regulations.QualificationsPreferred or required qualifications may include:Current Virginia registration as a QMHP or QMHP-T.Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, human services, sociology, or a related field preferred.Experience working with adults with mental health, behavioral health, substance use, or community support needs.Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently in the community and as part of a team.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.Professional, compassionate, dependable, and client-centered attitude.Ability to maintain boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards.What We OfferEvolution Life Services offers:Competitive pay.Supportive and approachable leadership.A workplace culture that values employee self-care and wellness.Training and professional development opportunities.Supervision and support for QMHP-T staff.Flexible and team-oriented work environment.Meaningful work that makes a direct impact in the lives of adults in the Richmond community.A respectful environment where staff are valued, supported, and encouraged to grow.Clinical Assessor / LMHP or Licensed-Eligible ClinicianEvolution Life Services — Richmond, VirginiaAdult Behavioral Health ServicesPosition SummaryEvolution Life Services is seeking qualified Clinical Assessors to complete behavioral health assessments for adults seeking mental health services. The Clinical Assessor is responsible for evaluating client needs, identifying strengths and barriers, determining appropriate service recommendations, and supporting treatment planning.This position is ideal for a licensed or licensed-eligible mental health professional who is organized, compassionate, clinically skilled, and committed to providing quality behavioral health care.LMHP / Licensed-Eligible DescriptionAn LMHP, or Licensed Mental Health Professional, is a licensed clinical provider who is qualified to complete clinical assessments, provide diagnostic impressions when appropriate, determine medical necessity, and make treatment recommendations.Evolution Life Services is also accepting licensed-eligible individuals, including residents, supervisees, or other approved candidates who are working toward full licensure and meet applicable Virginia requirements for clinical assessment services.Clinical Assessors play an important role in helping clients access the right level of care, identify treatment needs, and begin services that support stability, wellness, and long-term progress.Job DutiesResponsibilities may include:Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments for adult clients.Gather clinical, psychosocial, mental health, substance use, medical, legal, housing, employment, and environmental history.Assess symptoms, functional impairments, risk factors, strengths, needs, and barriers to treatment.Determine medical necessity and recommend appropriate behavioral health services.Complete initial assessments, reassessments, diagnostic impressions, treatment recommendations, and required clinical documentation.Assist with developing individualized service plans and treatment goals.Provide crisis assessment, safety planning, and referrals when needed.Collaborate with QMHPs, case managers, supervisors, medical providers, and community partners.Ensure documentation meets agency, Medicaid, licensing, and clinical standards.Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, chart reviews, audits, and quality assurance activities.Maintain ethical, confidential, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care.QualificationsPreferred or required qualifications may include:Active Virginia license as an LMHP, or licensed-eligible status in Virginia.Licensed-eligible individuals may include residents, supervisees, or other approved candidates working toward full licensure under appropriate supervision.Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related clinical field.Experience completing behavioral health assessments preferred.Strong clinical writing, assessment, and documentation skills.Knowledge of adult behavioral health services, medical necessity, and community-based mental health supports.Ability to work independently and complete documentation in a timely manner.Professional, ethical, organized, compassionate, and client-centered approach.Ability to maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and compliance with all applicable regulations.What We OfferEvolution Life Services is committed to creating a healthy and supportive work environment for clinical professionals.We offer:Competitive pay.Supportive leadership and clinical consultation.A company culture that encourages self-care and work-life balance.Professional development and growth opportunities.A respectful and team-focused workplace.Meaningful work serving adults in the Richmond community.A company that values quality care, ethical practice, and employee wellness.An environment where employees are encouraged to grow professionally while also prioritizing their own well-being.
