Technical Trainer

UBEO Business Services, the premier provider of business technology products and services, is seeking to hire a Technical Trainer to join our team in Grapevine, TX.UBEO is a distributor/servicer of document equipment and software solutions. Primary products include Xerox, Ricoh, Canon and Konica Minolta multi-functional equipment and Kyocera printers. UBEO specializes in electronic document management software and integrations.The primary responsibilities of this position is as follows:Department: ServiceReports To: Director of Service TrainingFLSA Status: Full Time/ExemptPurposeThis position is responsible for performing technical training for all UBEO locations. Functions of the job include delivering superior service quality, and technical instruction to all UBEO personnel. Responsible for performing training that will improve service levels, productivity, profitability, customer and employee satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for conducting technical instruction for all UBEO personnelResponsible for the creation and instruction of material to improve service quality and performance.Responsible for requesting and tracking travel requests, and prerequisite completion for individuals attending training.Responsible for setup, maintaining and cleanup of the training environment, to include the maintenance and repair of any equipment used in the training environment.Must be professional and exhibit customer service skills in and out of the classroom.Responsible for maintaining a safe, professional and healthy training environment by following organizational, and manufacturer standards.Assists with the training and development of all service personnel to include analyzing the training needs of the service department and recognizing training opportunities to further enhance the quality of the service departmentResponsible for coordinating with the Director of Service Training, Regional Directors of Service, and the Branch Field Service Managers for the scheduling of training courses needed.Responsible for communication and liaison with senior management and manufacturers to ensure compliance training and the classroom environment.Effectively interact with other functional groups to ensure the department is working cohesively with all department to achieve Ubeo Business Services overall goals and objectivesAssists with scheduling and tracking of training taking place within the service department.Responsible for maintaining standards and performing factory certified training for multiple vendors.Assists with keeping the service organization on track as it pertains to technology development and technology convergenceManage the utilization of assets and resources both internal and external to achieve targeted financial results and to create superior value for Ubeo Business Services and our service organizationCommunicate and interact with customers, field service, sales, management, and administration in a way that is courteous, positive and professionalComplete all administrative aspects of the job on time and error-freePerform other activities that support UBEO Business Services and our service organizationSupervisionSupervisedContactsInternal: Exempt, Non-ExemptExternal: Prospective Customers, Current Customers, VendorsJob Related DimensionsTechnical knowledge/skillsAnalysis (problem identification)Attention to detailCustomer service orientationProfessionalism and leadership skillsBusiness skillsCommunications - verbal and writtenPlanning and organizing (work management)Teamwork (cooperation)Work standards (concern for quality)Follow-up on any and all issuesExcellent supervisory, organizational, planning and training skillsSkilled in coordinating activities, evaluating data, and establishing prioritiesAbility to work independentlySolid experience organizing trainings and developing/designing educational curriculumAbility to be flexible to ever changing environment.Extensive travelWork evenings as required based on class needsQualificationsHigh School or GED or equivalent with some higher education in specific functional areaPrevious technical training experience (preferred)Leadership training or experience (preferred)6+ years industry experience or previous management experienceTechnical aptitude and proficiencyComputer/Networking related skills, including Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent presentation and communication skillsA+ & N+ certifications (preferred)CompTIA VCTT+ certification - to be acquired within 3 years of starting positionPhysical Demands & Work EnvironmentAbility to operate a motor vehicle for travel to training sites.Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods at times.Ability to lift 50+lbs on occasion.Ability to travel to different locations on a consistent basis.Ability to work / travel on weekends as required.Ability to work evenings as required for a specific training class.UBEO offers a competitive compensation package.
