Job Title: Senior Welding EngineerLocation: Glendale, AZType: Direct HireShift: 1st ShiftBonus: 12.5% Annual BonusRelocation: AvailableTravel: MinimalPosition Summary:We are seeking a Senior Welding Engineer with strong aerospace manufacturing experience to support advanced welding processes, including GTAW orbital welding and vacuum brazing. This role focuses on improving manufacturing capabilities, supporting new product introduction, and ensuring high standards in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.Key Responsibilities:Develop and approve welding/brazing procedures and manufacturing processesTroubleshoot weld and vacuum braze issues and improve production yieldProvide technical expertise in welding, metallurgy, and heat treatmentSupport new product introduction and collaborate with engineering and operations teamsEvaluate metallurgical samples and validate processes for productionLead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance throughput and first-pass yieldDevelop work instructions, train staff, and support quality testing activitiesQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or related field7+ years of welding engineering experience in manufacturingStrong experience with GTAW/TIG orbital welding and high-nickel alloys (Inconel, superalloys)Knowledge of vacuum brazing, NDT processes, and aerospace manufacturingExperience with electron beam welding is a plus
