Carpenter Lead & Labor Foreman

SummaryBalfour Beatty Construction is seeking a Carpenter Lead and Labor Foreman. The Carpenter Lead, and Labor Foreman activities are coordinated with the Project Manager and/or the Superintendent to maintain productivity of the jobsite.Essential FunctionsConstructing scaffold.Performing rough formwork.Constructing gang ladders.Constructing slab box outs, set sleeves.Layout and installation of wall blocking.Installation of roof blocking.Hanging and finishing drywall.Floor leveling.Caulking.Patching patch hollow metal doors and frames (bondo).Installing fire safing (isolations) and smoke seal.Managing several crews of laborers and carpenters.Mentoring and support development of subordinates.Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma preferred and on-the-job training required.A minimum 5 years of carpentry experience, and 3 years foreman experience.Heavy equipment operator (Forklift, Skid loader) experience.Must be able to read safety rules, instructions in the use and maintenance of truck, tools, and equipment, and methods and procedures.Basic knowledge of reading blueprints.Preferred ExperienceTraining in OSHA10-hour.CPR/First Aid Training.Secondary education in trade/craft (skills certificate or associates degree).Working knowledge of prints and plans.
