Nesco Resource is looking for skilled Industrial Sewing Machine Operators to join a growing team in Clinton Township. This role focuses on sewing seating fabric and materials to meet production and service order requirements, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and quality initiatives. Position: Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Location: Clinton Township Shift: 2nd Shift – Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate: $17–$19/hr (DOE) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (overtime as needed) Key Responsibilities Operate industrial sewing machines to sew fabric, leather, and foam for seat covers and service orders. Assemble components into complete seat cover sets according to specifications. Support material flow through sewing and embroidery operations. Perform routine maintenance and preventive care on machines and equipment. Inspect products for quality, craftsmanship, and adherence to standards. Identify and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and workflow. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Follow all safety guidelines and use required PPE. Report nonconformities, hazards, or unsafe conditions. Support quality systems (ISO/TS 16949) and environmental standards (ISO 14000). Participate in problem-solving and investigative processes as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum 3 years of industrial sewing experience in a cut-and-sew environment. Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, materials, and patterns. Ability to consistently meet quality standards and production deadlines. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
