CNC Machinist/Programmer

*Overview:* *Franklin Machine Shop* is seeking experienced *CNC Machinist Programmer * to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to read and interpret blueprints, programming machine tools, and manufacture close-tolerance parts. This role requires proficiency in operating and programming using EIA and Mazak Conversational controls on lathes and vertical milling machines. *Key Responsibilities:* * Program and operate CNC machining centers with precision. * Proficient in EIA and Mazak Conversational programming. * Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, and depth of cutting. * Verify the dimensions of finished parts using measuring instruments to ensure adherence to quality standards. * Select and maintain appropriate tools and fixtures. * Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on machines. * Read and interpret complex blueprints, including working with physical components for reproduction. * Ensure compliance with all ISO9001:2015 policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions. * Maintain a safe and organized workspace. *Qualifications:* * Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist. * Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. * Experience in manufacturing parts to tight tolerances. * Familiarity with Department of Defense and Ship Building Industry standards is preferred. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication and teamwork abilities. *Benefits:* Full-time employment with growth opportunities.
