They are fully equipped to handle all aspects of heavy-duty repair, offering top-tier diagnostic tools and a professional, supportive work environment.Our client is seeking a qualified Service Technician (Heavy-Duty) to perform professional repair and maintenance work on heavy-duty equipment. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing and servicing a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems on commercial trucks and equipment. This role includes performing diagnostics and maintenance on aftertreatment systems, disc and shoe brake systems, transmissions and clutches, suspension components, tires and wheels, air conditioning systems, as well as electrical and lighting systems. The ideal candidate will be capable of accurately diagnosing issues and completing repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.Responsibilities:Perform onsite diagnostic and repair work on heavy-duty commercial vehiclesUtilize OEM diagnostic software and tools (Cummins, PACCAR, Snap-on, JPRO, ECT) to efficiently identify and resolve issuesMaintain accurate records of work performed and communicate with fleet managers or clients as neededAdhere to all safety protocols and company proceduresMaintain punctuality and professionalism at all timesPerform professional repair and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and equipmentDiagnose and service aftertreatment systems, including troubleshooting emissions-related issuesInspect, repair, and maintain disc and shoe brake systemsPerform transmission and clutch maintenance or replacements as requiredDiagnose and repair suspension components to ensure proper vehicle performance and safetyComplete tire and wheel maintenance, including inspections, replacements, and related repairsDiagnose and service air conditioning systems to ensure proper operationTroubleshoot and repair electrical systems and vehicle lightingAccurately document diagnostics, repairs, and completed work on service ordersFollow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environmentCommunicate repair findings and recommendations with shop leadership or service managementQualifications: Valid driver’s licensePrevious experience performing repair and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks or equipmentStrong ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on commercial vehiclesExperience working with aftertreatment systems, brake systems (disc and shoe), transmissions, clutches, suspension components, tires, and wheelsKnowledge of air conditioning diagnostics and maintenance for heavy-duty equipmentAbility to diagnose and repair electrical and lighting systemsFamiliarity with diesel engine systems and general heavy-duty truck componentsAbility to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced shop environmentStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to properly document repairs and service workWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
