Litigation Associate AttorneyPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join our plaintiff-side personal injury practice in Texas. The successful candidate will manage a plaintiff PI caseload from intake through trial, advocating for injured clients in depositions, mediations, hearings, and jury trials. This role requires strong courtroom and written advocacy skills, familiarity with all phases of discovery and motion practice, and active participation in case strategy and client counseling.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle a docket of plaintiff personal injury cases and develop case strategy from intake to resolution.Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other court documents in state and federal courts.Prepare for and take depositions; defend depositions when needed; organize deposition summaries and exhibits.Conduct legal research and draft persuasive briefs and memoranda for motions, hearings, and trials.Manage discovery process including written discovery, expert retention, disclosures, and document review.Prepare witnesses and exhibits for mediations, hearings, and trials; actively participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.Appear in court for hearings, status conferences, motion practice, and trials; advocate effectively before judges and juries.Coordinate with paralegals, experts, and outside vendors to meet case deadlines and trial readiness.Maintain accurate case files, meet billing and timekeeping requirements, and communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and strategy.Contribute to business development, client intake, and community/legal networking as appropriate.QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in the Texas Bar (or eligibility to be admitted).1+ years of civil litigation experience preferred; plaintiff personal injury experience strongly preferred.Proven trial experience or substantial trial preparation experience, including jury trials, evidentiary hearings, or major contested hearings.Experience taking and defending depositions and handling all phases of discovery and pleadings.Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills; experience drafting motions, briefs, settlement demands, and correspondence.Comfortable conducting mediations and settlement negotiations on behalf of clients.Ability to manage a demanding caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent client service skills, ethical judgment, and professional demeanor in court and with opposing counsel.Familiarity with Texas civil procedure, court rules, and local practice; proficiency with litigation support software and document management tools.BenefitsPaid vacation, holidays, and leave401(k) with 4% match 80% employer-paid medicalDental, vision, and supplemental insuranceRelocation assistance...and more!
