Job DescriptionTheracare is seeking a Part-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our outpatient pediatric team. This position is ideal for a clinician who enjoys working with children in a collaborative, play-based environment and is available for afternoon and evening hours.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide occupational therapy treatment to pediatric patients under the direction of a licensed Occupational TherapistImplement individualized treatment plans focused on functional skill development, sensory integration, and independenceEngage children and families through creative, play-based therapy approachesAccurately document treatment sessions in a timely mannerCollaborate with therapists, families, and caregivers to support carryover of skillsSchedulePart-timeAfternoon and evening availability requiredQualificationsThe Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant would perform skilled direct patient care activities under the clinical supervision of the Occupational Therapist.QualificationsGraduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant programCurrent or eligible for state licensePrefer active membership with the American Occupational Therapy Association (not required)Prefer minimum one (1) year experienceNew graduates welcome to applyExcellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skillsAdditional InformationWork/Life Balance!
