Maintenance Technician

Job Description We are looking for a capable maintenance technician for a growing portfolio of single family homes and apartment complex in Northern Alabama.ResponsibilitiesJob duties include, but are not limited to, the essential functions listed below.The essential functions of this position are to perform interior and/or exterior facility and maintenance tasks thereby following all safety policies, practices, and best practicesResponding to all tasks in a timely mannerOther projects, tasks, and responsibilities as directed, needed, or instructedWork closely with the Property ManagerUse software for inspections and maintenance requestsAccompany property manager for annual and move out inspectionsRoutine unit maintenanceRepairing and unclogging toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showerheads and exterior drainsUnit turnoverMove out inspection with property managerOutline scope of work and estimated costTrash outsReplacing carpet and vinyl plank flooringInstalling appliancesInstalling and repairing drywallPaintingSanding and painting cabinetsRoutine property and building maintenanceDaily trash and debris pickupBi-monthly general landscapingQuarterly property inspectionsPreventative maintenanceWork with vendors and contractorsQualifications:A good communicator with 7+ years of experience in multi-property maintenance or facilities maintenance.Experience working with plumbing, electrical, multitude of carpentry skillsSelf-starter who works well in a team environment and independentlyAbility to effectively communicate information and ideas verbally and in writingPre-employment screening:Background checks requiredDrug test required
