Job DescriptionJob TitleSenior Backend Software Engineer – Java & Spring BootOverview / SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications, APIs, and microservices. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performing solutions for web, mobile, and enterprise applications in a hybrid work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEngage with stakeholders to understand business use cases and technical requirementsDesign, develop, and maintain backend applications, APIs, and microservicesDevelop scalable and secure applications using Spring Boot and JavaArchitect and maintain RESTful APIsCollaborate with frontend developers and cross-functional teams including product owners, architects, and designersSupport application deployment in cloud or on-premises environmentsMonitor application health, performance, resiliency, and reliabilityManage data storage and retrieval using database technologiesImplement security best practices including encryption and data protectionPromote engineering best practices including test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deliveryOptimize backend infrastructure and deployment processesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree10+ years of IT experience8+ years of software development experienceStrong proficiency in Java programming and object-oriented programming principlesExperience with Spring Boot frameworkExperience designing and developing RESTful APIsExperience with API development, including enterprise APIsExperience designing, developing, and supporting applications on cloud platformsExperience working with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or MongoDBExperience collaborating within Agile development environmentsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or equivalent cloud servicesExperience with KotlinExperience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelinesFamiliarity with Jira or similar Agile toolsExperience with OpenAPI Specification (OAS) standardsStrong collaboration skills working with technical teams, product managers, DevOps, UI/UX, and business stakeholdersWhat Makes HTC A Great Place To Build Your FutureHTC Global Services wants you to join our team.
