Machinist PositionHiFyve is hiring a Machinist in the Manufacturing industry in Plymouth, MN!Pay Rate: $32/hrLocation: Plymouth, MNShift: Day Shift 6:30 am to 3 pmKey Responsibilities:Set up and operate one or more machine tools with minimal supervisionOperate machines efficiently and accuratelyMaintain current setup sheets and program filesInstruct and support less skilled operatorsPerform finishing work such as deburring and parts washingMaintain a clean and safe work environmentDemonstrate company core values including accountability, integrity, and service excellenceEducation Requirements:Associate degree in Machining with 35 years of experience in a general machine shop environmentOREquivalent combination of relevant education and hands-on experienceKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Proficiency using general measuring instrumentsAbility to perform basic machine setups independentlyUnderstanding of speeds, feeds, and machining fundamentalsStrong attention to detail and qualityAbility to train and guide less experienced operatorsPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periodsFrequent use of hands and arms for handling tools and materialsOccasional walking, talking, and hearingAbility to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionallyVisual acuity including close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
