Weekend Paint Line Supervisor - Day Shift
Hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 5 am - 5 pm
Pay: $31.91/hour
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Shift Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be responsible for overseeing and managing daily production operations on the manufacturing floor. This role involves leading a team of production workers, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, optimizing production processes, and addressing any operational issues that arise.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Supervise and coordinate production staff activities.
Assign tasks and responsibilities based on production needs.
Provide guidance, support, and training to employees.
Monitor and ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications, addressing and correcting any quality issues or defects.
Oversee machinery operation, setup, and maintenance.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, equipment, and material problems.
Ensure production targets are met efficiently and on time while ensuring compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regular requirements.
Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety inspections.
Maintain accurate records of production activities and shift reports.
Communicate with supervisors, managers, and staff for seamless operations and effective shift handovers.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds at a time.
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING
High school diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of industrial experience and education.
Proven experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment; experience with CNC, lasers, roll formers, and manual punch presses is a plus.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control processes.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and manufacturing software (e.g., MES systems).
Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, job site maps/directions, instruction manuals, and/or written instructions accurately.
Ability to read a tape measure and use calipers
