ResponsibilitiesDesign, install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and workstationsProvide technical support for network issues and collaborate to resolve IT problemsTest hardware/software performance and document operational activitiesManage hardware, peripherals, services, and storage per best practicesMonitor system health, integrity, and security; perform backups and data restorationCreate, modify, or delete user accounts; manage asset deployment for staffOversee security monitoring and ensure availability of resources and processesSupport end-users through help desk activities
Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in computer science or related field6+ years of Linux systems administration experience in SMB IT teamsProficiency with Bash, Python, or UNIX scripting (automation focus)Experience in Linux environments and basic networking (IP, routing, firewalls)Familiarity with configuration management toolsUS Security Clearance or ability to obtain oneCollaborativeProblem-solvingDetail-orientedBashPythonUNIX scripting
