Senior Loan Processor

Augusta Financial is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Loan Processor to join our growing team. This role is critical to ensuring a smooth and efficient loan process from application to closing.The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and excels at communication with clients, loan officers, and third parties.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze borrower profiles, including credit, title, income, assets, and complex business tax returns Utilize automated underwriting systems (DU/LP) and assess findings accurately Submit complete loan files to underwriting and manage all conditions through final approval Proactively communicate loan status with borrowers, loan officers, agents, and operations staff Maintain accurate and timely updates in LOS and CRM systems Request and track outstanding conditions and documentation from all parties Order Closing Disclosures and manage timelines to ensure on-time closings Collaborate with and support the Junior Processor; provide coverage as needed Participate in daily and/or weekly team meetings (in-person or virtual) Ensure all deadlines, conditions, and compliance requirements are met QualificationsProficiency with DU, LP, FHA Connection, and VA Portal Knowledge of HECM loans (preferred) Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel) Experience with Encompass (preferred) Ability to manage a pipeline of 75 loans/month and close a minimum of 15 loans/month Ability to quickly learn and apply company policies and procedures Compensation & Benefits$24–$35/hour (based on experience) Per-file bonus on closed loans Additional performance-based incentives Medical insurance and 401(k) Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent 3–5 years of experience as a Senior Loan Processor Strong knowledge of conventional (including Jumbo & Non-QM) and government loan guidelines Supervisory ResponsibilitiesProvides indirect oversight and support to departmental team members Ensures alignment with company policies and applicable regulations Core CompetenciesDiversity & Inclusion: Promotes a respectful and inclusive work environment Ethics & Integrity: Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and trustworthiness Adaptability: Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced setting Attendance & Reliability: Consistently punctual and dependable Teamwork: Contributes to a positive team culture and shared success Physical RequirementsProlonged periods sitting and working at a computer Frequent typing and screen time Occasional lifting (up to 10 lbs), bending, or twisting What We OfferHigh-volume, consistent pipeline Collaborative and supportive team environment Long-term growth and advancement opportunities If you’re looking to grow your career with a performance-driven mortgage company, we’d love to connect.
