Community Support SpecialistLocation: Flathead Valley Reentry Center, Kalispell, MTThe Community Support Specialist is a key frontline role that ensures the daily operations of the Flathead Valley Reentry Center run safely, smoothly, and with resident success at the forefront. The position involves creating a structured, supportive environment that promotes positive reentry outcomes and community well-being.ResponsibilitiesSchedule and provide daily transportation for residents to and from employment sites, medical appointments, and other program-approved activities.Conduct wellness and accountability checks at resident workplaces.Manage resident check-ins and check-outs in accordance with facility policy.Perform routine room, facility, and resident offender searches to ensure safety and compliance.Answer and route incoming calls with professionalism and accuracy.Staff the front desk and maintain a secure, welcoming reception area.Support general facility operations and contribute to program objectives as needed.QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalency required.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.Background ChecksCriminal history check.Reference checks.Notice of EligibilityPrison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) disqualifies individuals who have engaged in sexual abuse in correctional facilities.Use of all tobacco products is prohibited in Department of Corrections buildings and secure care facilities.Salary and BenefitsHourly pay: $23.01.
