The person in this role works closely with SOA staff to support students on a day-to-day basis, advancing their leadership development and growth in their role, helping them navigate processes and procedures, and providing opportunities for them to support the broader University of Kentucky community. In addition to their broadcast, the person in this role will also support the student leaders in creating and executing various events, contracting talent locally and nationally, etc. The Assistant Director for WRFL is in charge of overseeing all station operations and FCC compliance as they are the Designated Chief Operator of the station.Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision making.
