AWS Cloud Engineer / DevOps (part-time) Bethesda MD / Hybrid Pay from $65hrrMUST:Eligible for Public Trust10+ years of overall IT Experience with significant focus on DevOps cloud engineering, systems or platform engineering5+ years of hands on experience working in AWS DevOps environmentStrong hands-on experience supporting and deploying workloads in AWSWorking knowledge or hands-on experience with GCP, including deployment and support of applications and cloud servicesStrong hands on experience with source control and DevOps toolchains such as Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar platformsProven experience designing and implementing CI/CD processes and tools in enterprise environmentsStrong hands-on experience with automation and scripting using Ansible and PythonExperience supporting AI and ML platform deployments and configuration management, focused on infrastructure, automation, and operations rather than application or model developmentStrong understanding of infrastructure automation, configuration management, release engineering, and platform operationsExperience working in compliance-driven environments, such as FedRAMP, NIST-based environments, or similar regulated frameworksExperience deploying, configuring, and supporting applications in cloud environmentsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skillsBachelor's Degree is preferredDUTIES:Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications across AWS and GCP environmentsAssist in building and operationalizing GCP support capabilities for new and future workloadsSupport, maintain, and optimize existing AWS cloud workloads and infrastructureDesign, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deliveryAutomate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasks using tools such as Ansible and PythonImplement and support Infrastructure as Code and environment standardization practicesSupport deployment, configuration, and operational management of AI and ML platforms and supporting infrastructure in cloud environmentsAutomate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management for AI-enabled infrastructure and servicesCollaborate with engineering and platform teams to enable secure, scalable, and compliant environments for AI workloads, without requiring hands-on AI application or model developmentEnsure cloud environments and deployment processes align with security and compliance requirements, including regulated frameworks such as FedRAMP or similarMonitor system health, availability, and performance, and proactively resolve operational issuesCreate and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and standard operating proceduresIndependently manage assigned work items, priorities, and deliverables with minimal supervisionContribute to platform engineering best practices, cloud governance, and automation strategyActively participate in the analysis, design, and development of various modernization efforts for Federal clientContribute to CI/CD pipeline development and deployment processesAssist with all aspects of the Agile development: gather requirements, lead/participate in standup meetings, write user stories, create tasks, develop code, review backlogs, and work on assigned tasksPlan and implement unit testing into the code and development life cycleAssist/Review load tests to identify bottlenecks and latency issuesContribute to CI/CD pipeline development and deployment processesSupport containerization strategies and troubleshoot deployment issuesReview and troubleshoot bugs and identify problem resolutionsAssist and provide guidance to promote various best practices into the software development lifecycleQuadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
