Position Summary As a Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) at KMS, you will serve as a key leader responsible for overseeing a portfolio of projects and the Project Managers (PMs) assigned to your portion of a client program. While Program Managers maintain primary responsibility for client relationships, account strategy, and overall program performance, the Sr. PM ensures that day-to-day execution, project performance, and team accountability are consistently achieved within their assigned workstream. The Sr. PM will mentor and guide Project Managers, drive schedule and budget adherence, streamline reporting, and collaborate closely with the Program Manager to ensure program alignment, operational excellence, and efficient delivery. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage several projects, programs, and personnel simultaneously. Travel to job sites may be required and could be up to 50% of the work schedule. Key Responsibilities · Assist Program Manager in account level strategy related to day-to-day execution and communication. · Oversee and support Project Managers to ensure day-to-day project execution aligns with client and program expectations. · Hold PMs accountable for maintaining accurate schedules, budgets, scopes, and project documentation. · Review PM deliverables, reports, and job activity for completeness, quality, and adherence to KMS standards. · Assist the Program Manager in preparing program-level reporting by consolidating updates from assigned PMs. · Monitor project progress across assigned workstreams, identifying risks or delays and implementing corrective actions. · Attend stakeholder meetings as delegated by the Program Manager and communicate project updates as needed. · Support workload planning, resource coordination, and onboarding of new PMs or team members within the program. · Perform routine site visits to confirm progress, validate conditions, and ensure compliance with project expectations. · Coach and mentor Project Managers, reinforcing KMS processes and contributing to a positive, accountable team culture. · Escalate critical project issues to the Program Manager in a timely manner and support resolution efforts. · Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce inefficiencies, or enhance reporting. Qualifications/Skills · Bachelor’s degree Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field · 6+ years of Construction Project Management experience in commercial construction · Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing other Project Managers or large multi-site portfolios · Demonstrates self-motivation and strong organizational skills, effectively managing priorities and driving projects forward with minimal supervision · Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities · Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills · Analytical abilities in estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and cost control Proficiency in scheduling and estimating software (Primavera P6, etc.) · Must be a high integrity team player with flexibility to meet the demands of our fast-paced business climate Pay: From $85,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Cell phone reimbursement Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: Hybrid remote in Birmingham, AL 35233
