Senior Design Engineer – Connectors (100-130K)We have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Design Engineer in the Binghamton, NY area.Relocation Assistance Provided.About the RoleAre you passionate about design and excited to help mentor the next generation of engineers?We're looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our team. You'll play a critical role in shaping new products and improving existing ones, especially in the areas of connector design and plastic injection molding.Duties and ResponsibilitiesTake charge of product design from concept through to launch, focusing on connectors and injection-molded parts.Provide mentorship to a team of eager junior engineers.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions.Utilize SolidWorks, FEA tools, and ePDM for engineering documentation and design.Manage technical documentation like BOMs, ECNs, and develop detailed test plans.Education and ExperienceBachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) and at least 5+ years of experience.Skilled with plastic part design and material selection.Knowledge of SolidWorks, FEA Analysis, and Mold Flow.Familiar with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and lean tools (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, A3 reports).You love mentoring others and guiding junior engineers through complex projects.To apply, submit your resume to techjobs@hiresapphire.comSapphire Recruitment is an Equal Opportunity Employer
