This role provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and is designed for individuals seeking short-term employment during the summer months. Work is performed under the guidance of experienced team members with on-the-job training provided.Shift: Monday – Friday; 6 – 3:30 pm or 7:00am – 3:30 pm, Saturdays when production needs exist.This is a temporary, seasonal position aligned with summer staffing needs and is well-suited for individuals available for full-time work during the summer months. Start and end dates may be adjusted based on individual school schedules.Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssembly & Component PreparationAssist in assembling products, components, or subassemblies following standard work instructionsSupport production lines by preparing parts, tools, and materials needed for assemblyPerform basic tasks such as fastening, aligning, or fitting parts together\Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing finished products for shipment.Quality & InspectionPerform basic visual inspections to ensure parts meet quality standardsNotify team leads or supervisors of any defects or concernsFollow established processes to support product qualityMaterial Handling SupportAssist with moving parts and materials between workstationsHelp maintain proper organization of materials and work areasSafety & ComplianceFollow all safety policies and procedures in the production environmentProperly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)Report any safety concerns, hazards, or near missesGeneral SupportMaintain clean and organized work areas in alignment with 5S standardsParticipate in on-the-job training and follow direction from supervisors and team leadsPerform additional tasks as assigned to support production needsneedsSkills And Competencies Basic attention to detail when assembling parts and components Ability to follow instructions and work from standard procedures Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors and team leads Ability to work effectively as part of a team Basic communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Dependable with good attendance and punctuality Ability to read, write, and speak basic English Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periodEducation And ExperienceEducation Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalentExperience RequirementsNo prior experience required — training will be providedPrevious experience in manufacturing, assembly, retail, or hands-on work is a plus but not requiredMust be reliable, willing to learn, and able to follow instructionsPositive attitude and willingness to contribute as part of a teamPhysical DemandsEmployee will lift 1-30 pounds intermittently and may have to lift documents/work materials up to 40 pounds in weight. Employee will have to be able to walk to a variety of primary work locations. Employee will need manual (hand) dexterity to assemble/repair small parts for long periods of time. Employee will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members at all levels within a diverse workforce.Work EnvironmentEmployee will be in a manufacturing environment where they may work near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to vibration.
