Structural Engineer
Position OverviewMy client is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and 5-10 years of experience in multi-family projects. This is a remote position, but candidates must reside in or near Las Vegas, Nevada or Portland, Oregon to collaborate effectively with regional teams and clients.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and analyze structural systems for multi-family residential projects.Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications in compliance with building codes and standards.Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.Review and approve shop drawings and construction submittals.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.Conduct site visits as needed for inspections and project meetings.QualificationsLicensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the United States (preferably in NV or OR).5-10 years of structural engineering experience, with a strong focus on multi-family residential projects.Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, SAP2000) and AutoCAD/Revit.Strong understanding of building codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC).Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple projects.Preferred SkillsExperience with wood, concrete, and steel framing systems.Familiarity with seismic design requirements in the Western U.S.Project management experience is a plus.
