Field Service Technician

DescriptionAccountability:Install and repair machines and accessories at customer site. Provide Technical information on operation or repair of machines and accessories.Scope and Responsibilities:Essential duties include, but not limited to the following:* Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees* Install machines and accessories at customer sites. Installation includes all necessary assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating and wiring of machines and accessories.* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines and accessories at customer sites.* Test operation of machines and accessories after completing installation or repair* Train customers on functions of the machines* Learn new machines features and accessories as they become available* Complete reports documenting installation, assessment of reported problem, repairs completed, parts installed* Travel is required. Assignments will require overnight or multiple night stay.* Utilize various test equipment for trouble shooting purpose, indicators, test bars, clamp force, gages, etc....Education/Certification:* 2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly* 3-7 years of experience in Field Service* High School DiplomaSkills:* Read/understand engineering drawings * Ability to work on own or in group while completing necessary tasks* Ability to understand PLC* HYD/Pneumatic circuits* General computer skills* Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive daily basis.* Heavier lifting in excess of 50lbs on periodic basis* Ability to problem solve depending on situation.* Sound writing and reporting skills.* Strong people skills.The salary range for this position is $70,926 to $109,025EOE, including disability/vetsEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
