Job Title: Bilingual HR Generalist (Japanese/English) Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite – Full-Time) Salary Range: $110,000 – $120,000 Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bilingual HR Generalist (Japanese/English) to join our team onsite in Santa Clara. This role will support a growing organization by managing day-to-day HR operations, partnering with leadership, and ensuring alignment between U.S. and Japan-based business practices. The ideal candidate comes from a mid-sized company environment (~200 employees) and thrives in a fast-paced, cross-cultural setting. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary HR point of contact for employees and managers across U.S. and Japan teams Support full-cycle HR functions including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies Facilitate communication and alignment between U.S. and Japan headquarters Assist with benefits administration, payroll coordination, and HRIS management Partner with leadership on organizational development, workforce planning, and employee engagement initiatives Handle employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality Support recruiting efforts, including coordination, interviewing, and candidate experience Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation Translate HR policies, communications, and documentation between Japanese and English as needed Required Qualifications Bilingual fluency in Japanese and English (written and spoken) 3–6+ years of HR Generalist experience Experience working at a company with approximately 200 employees (mid-sized environment) Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws and HR best practices Experience supporting cross-border teams, preferably U.S.–Japan collaboration Ability to work onsite full-time in Santa Clara, CA Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) Experience in tech, manufacturing, or international corporate environments Familiarity with Japanese business culture and corporate practices Key Competencies Cross-cultural communication and collaboration Employee relations and conflict resolution Organizational and time management skills Attention to detail and accuracy Adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Why Join Us Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunity to work in a global, collaborative environment Direct impact on people operations and company culture Career growth within a stable, mid-sized organization
