As a distinguished non-profit organization, we specialize in delivering top-tier early education across Tippecanoe (Lafayette, West Lafayette), Jasper (Rensselaer, Remington), and Newton (Goodland) Counties, operating seven licensed child care centers.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Center Director to join our team at Goodland (Newton County) to work with the center director in coordinating and supervising daily operations as assigned. The assistant will collaboratively work to provide leadership and vision to the center and help ensure compliance with all internal and external quality assurance standards, including but not limited to licensing, accreditation, PTQ, and internal policies and procedures.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Support director in all their duties and effectively carry out assigned responsibilities
Ensure consistent and smooth implementation of daily operational procedures
Help facilitate clear and consistent communication between departments
Foster and maintain positive relationships with employees and parents
Assist in performance evaluations
Ensure all work meets necessary compliance standards
Serve as acting director in the absence of the director
Family engagement
Communicate with parents and families
Child enrollment
Assist in supervision, coaching, and development of staff
Schedule: Full-time (full-year- 40 Hours per week), Monday- Friday, Dayshift
Our ideal candidate is someone who genuinely loves working with children and possesses the following minimum qualifications and skills:
Associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field.
Highly desirable: Child Development Associate (CDA) credential,
A minimum of 6 months prior experience working with children in a childcare environment is highly valued.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and children
Patience, empathy, and understanding to meet the individual needs of each child
Must have a valid driver’s license and meet auto insurance requirements
