Job Title: FP&A Manager (R&D) Location: Lakewood, CO Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $107,000.00 - $134,900.00 Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remoteResponsibilitiesLead financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for global R&D organization, ensuring financial discipline, transparency, and decision supportServe as primary finance partner to R&D leadership, providing insights on investment, risk, speed-to-market, and cost managementManage R&D FP&A activities including operating expense and headcount planning, capital and investment tracking, and ROI analysisGuide R&D leaders through scenario analysis, planning assumptions, and trade-offs to align with enterprise financial objectivesDevelop models to assess financial impacts, capacity utilization, and risk exposure across R&D projects and pipelinesLead, coach, and develop Financial Analysts supporting R&D, setting expectations for excellence and analytical rigorDeliver clear and actionable financial reports to FP&A leadership and executive stakeholdersDrive continuous process improvement and partner with corporate FP&A on standardization and system enhancementsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance rolesExperience partnering with R&D, engineering, or in regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferredExperience operating in a global, matrixed organizationExpert-level financial planning, forecasting, and analytical skillsStrong understanding of R&D cost structures, portfolio economics, and capitalization conceptsProven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through complexityAdvanced financial modeling and Excel skillsStrong executive communication skills, both written and verbalExperience with SAP or similar ERP platformsExperience with financial planning systems (e.g., Workday Adaptive, Anaplan, OneStream)Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)Demonstrated leadership, judgment, and accountability mindsetSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
