Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Technician (CMT) to join our healthcare team during evening shifts. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate patient care across various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. This role requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, patient needs, and documentation standards to ensure high-quality care for individuals with diverse health conditions, including dementia, Alzheimer's, and developmental disabilities. The CMT will work closely with healthcare professionals to support patient well-being and safety while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
Duties
Administer medications and treatments accurately following physician orders and protocols
Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature
Document patient information meticulously using EMR/EHR systems like PCC
Support patients with memory care needs, dementia care, and hospice services
Ensure safety protocols are followed to prevent falls or injuries in senior and disabled populations
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team
Maintain a clean and safe environment in compliance with healthcare standards and regulations
Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality at all times
Requirements
Valid certification as a Medical Technician (CMT) or equivalent credential
Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s or dementia
Proficiency in electronic medical records EMR/EHR systems
Strong caregiving skills with compassion for elderly or disabled populations
Ability to work evening shifts reliably while maintaining high standards of patient care
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and families
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation procedures
