Quality Metrology Inspector
Your role As a Quality Metrology Inspector, your mission is to be responsible for all lab inspection activities for purchased, manufactured, or returned components for warranty claims. You will report to the Product Quality Manager. You willPerform PPAP layouts for both rivets and equipment componentsPerform receiving inspection of incoming components for equipment assembly and rivet manufacturing toolingConduct capability studies for PPAP submissions and process changesPerform inspection and testing of non-conforming product returnsPerform magnetic particle inspections as requiredSupport non-conforming quality reports internally as well as to suppliersDocument inspection results and supports preparation of reports for review and response to our customersSupport customer concern investigations and manufacturing quality issuesParticipate in the problem solving and corrective action process when requiredSupport compliance with ISO9001/IATF16949 and customer specific requirementsOther related duties, as assignedTo succeed, you will need We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every single requirement. We value diverse experiences and perspectives and are excited to see what you bring to the role.2 years experience performing manual layout inspection (surface plate techniques), preferredKnowledge of CMM or Inspection Equipment, Zeiss Calypso preferred but not required2 years minimum experience of inspection with gaugesStrong experience with various gauges: Height Gauge, Micrometer, Calipers, Bore Gauges, Thread Mics etc.Strong blueprint reading skills and working knowledge of GD&TExperience performing PPAP layout inspectionsWorking knowledge of quality systemsSkills with Windows and Microsoft Office applicationsTeam oriented with a positive attitude.Ability to maintain professional behavior in all situationsAbility to communicate effectively at all levels, good interpersonal skillsOrganized, with excellent attention to detail.
