Information Security Engineer II
The Information Security Engineer II assesses IT security architecture to determine areas of vulnerability or flawed design and address/resolve issues as appropriate. This position also administers controls and performs assessments to prevent security events.

Job Duties
Administer testing/security controls based on software/hardware requirements, technical specifications and/or change control requests
Enhance the security of existing technologies including network, malware, firewalling, IPS and research to identify new technologies to ensure optimal system security
Provide advice to business units on security design and planning of credit union wide networks, technology infrastructure, middleware, platforms
Assist in the development, review and maintenance of clear and easily understood application and process documentation consistent with department standards
Coordinate and ensure successful implementation and support of applications, network and infrastructure systems; proactively identify and troubleshoot performance issues and functionality gaps
Collect and publish IT metrics and use data to make process improvement recommendations
Assist with the development and socialization of security standards for the credit union
Provide 24/7 support with rotating on-call duties after hours within predetermined and agreed upon service expectations
Essential Skills
Minimum 3 years’ experience in systems engineering or IT security incident management/troubleshooting, including experience with Next Generation Firewalls
Strong knowledge of various security technologies (such as VPN's, IDS/IPS, authentication protocols, security event incident monitoring, and content security gateways (web/mail security gateways)
Strong knowledge of network technologies (including dynamic/static routing, switching, WLAN)
Strong knowledge of interoperability of various networking components and security components
Ability to problem solve effectively, with strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage with business partners to understand their requirements and express ideas concisely and logically
Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience
Certification/License: CISSP or GIAC is preferred

Location: Hillsboro, OR 97124 | Rocklin, CA 95765 (HYBRID)
Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $109k - $115k annually + annual bonus
Target Compensation in Rocklin, CA 95765: $120k - $127k annually + annual bonus
