Details 23-bed Medical Surgical unit within a 562-bed acute care hospital Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts with an 18:45 start time Every other weekend required Floating within scope is required, including to nearby affiliate hospitals No on-call responsibilities Charting via Cerner (experience preferred) Block scheduling may be accommodated — discuss directly with the manager Free parking available with a permit obtained during orientation Requirements Active IL RN license required, or active application in process with an estimated completion date Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required; AHA and Red Cross accepted (RQI AHA cards not accepted) Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required PICC line management and IV start experience required Previous charge nurse experience preferred Cerner EMR experience preferred SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction Any permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before being considered as a traveler Travel pairs are not accepted at this facility Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays RTO of 5 days or fewer is generally accommodated; anything beyond 5 days requires facility approval All time off requests should be submitted upfront Scrubs may be any solid color American Traveler Job ID P-687264.
