Senior Java Developer (Spring Boot & Microservices)

Experience: 8–12 years Cyient is seeking a Senior Java Developer with strong experience building enterprise applications usingJava (8+) , Spring Boot, andMicroservices. In this role, you will help design and develop scalable, high-performance, cloud-ready applications and work closely with architecture, product, and DevOps teams to deliver robust distributed systems. What You’ll DoDesign, develop, and delivermicroservices-based applicationsusingJava (8+)andSpring Boot Build scalable, resilient, fault-tolerant distributed systems Develop and integrateRESTful APIswith internal and external services Collaborate with architects, product owners, and DevOps teams to deliver new features Write clean, maintainable, testable code using best practices (design patterns, SOLID principles) Support performance tuning, reliability, and application responsiveness Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentor junior developers Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, staging, and production environments Implement and maintainCI/CD pipelinesfor automated build/test/deploy Work in containerized environments usingDockerandKubernetes Implement event-driven microservices usingKafkaorRabbitMQ Follow secure coding practices and support application security standards Required Qualifications8–12 yearsof overall software development experience, including strong enterprise Java development Hands-on expertise withJava 8+ , Spring Boot, andMicroservices architecture Strong experience buildingREST APIs / web services Solid understanding of3-tier architectureand component-based design Experience with Spring frameworks such as Spring Boot Spring MVC Spring Batch Experience withDockerand container orchestration ( Kubernetes ) Hands-on experience withKafka or RabbitMQ Strong knowledge ofCI/CDpractices and tools Experience debugging distributed systems and optimizing performance Strong problem-solving and communication skills Preferred (Nice to Have) Cloud-native experience inAWS, Azure, or GCP Exposure to API gateway, service mesh, and observability tools DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code Experience working inAgile/Scrumenvironments EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
