This full-time position requires a commitment to enhancing the educational experience for ELL students and ensuring their academic success.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of ELL students, focusing on language development and academic content.Assess students' language proficiency and academic progress, using data to inform instruction and provide targeted support.Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate ELL strategies into the general curriculum and support the needs of ELL students in mainstream classes.Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that respects and values cultural diversity.Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster positive relationships and support student learning.Provide individualized and small group instruction to address the varying needs of ELL students.Stay informed about best practices in ELL education and participate in professional development opportunities.Advocate for ELL students and help facilitate their integration into the school community.Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding academic performance.Participate in school-wide initiatives and collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience for all students.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Education, TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Valid teaching certification in ELL or TESOL, or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.Proven experience working with English Language Learners in a classroom setting.Strong understanding of language acquisition theories and effective instructional strategies for ELL students.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and community members.Proficiency in a second language is a plus.Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational trends and policies related to ELL education.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
